The Centre commences its admission cycle in the middle of July of every year. Applications are received from July till the end of November each year. Shortlisted candidates are subjected to a screening exercise in early December, and successful candidates are made to resume classes in early January of the following year. Our admission process is very transparent.

a). To be eligible for the M.Sc. programmes, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics or Petroleum Engineering with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division grade, or a first degree in any other relevant fields in the Physical Sciences or Engineering, with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division grade. The candidate must also have completed the NYSC.

b). To be qualified for PhD admission, applicants must possess an M.Sc. in the relevant field with a minimum average score of 65%, or an average score of at least 60% with an excellent industrial experience of at least 5 years.
