Till date (July, 2023), the Centre had graduated nine (9) sets, totaling 123 students. Of this number, 50 graduates (representing 40.4%) are on tenured technical positions in major oil and gas companies, including SPDC, TotalEnergies, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Seplat Energy, Schlumberger, Halliburton, Energy and Mineral Resources, Sahara Energy and NCDMB. Some are already in very senior positions in those companies. 24 (i.e. 19.5%) are in the academia as lecturers, and quite a number of them are already senior lecturers in Universities. 27 (21.9%) are either in government establishments or engaged in private practice. So, 82% of the graduates of the Centre are, today, gainfully employed. In addition, two students who are currently on the SPDC internship programme and as such, not yet full graduates of the Centre, were recently employed by TotalEnergies as Reservoir Geophysicists on tenured positions after rigorous selection process.

It is a thing of joy to know that the graduates of the Centre are snapped by various companies who have come to appreciate the quality of training students receive at the Centre.

It is also noteworthy that six (6) of our graduates have completed their PhD degrees on record time in the University of Benin (Nigeria), University of Portsmouth (UK), King Fahd University of Science and Technology (KSA), University of Alberta (Canada) and University of Grenoble Alpes (France).  A good number of them are also currently in the advanced stage of their PhDs both in Nigeria and overseas. Interestingly, a sizeable number of these scholars completed their PhDs, or are currently on the programmes on scholarship.
